WHO AM I?

My name is Sara Wojcik, and I've been a licensed massage therapist for over 13 years. I graduated in 2006 from Blue Cliff College of Massage Therapy in Shreveport. I am state and nationally board certified, and a member of the Association of Bodywork and Massage Professionals.

WHY DID I BECOME A THERAPIST?

I decided to become a massage therapist after working side-by-side with my father, as his assistant, at his chiropractic clinic for several years. What I loved about that job, was the relationships that I developed with our patients and the satisfaction that I felt when their condition would improve. I could see how the pain, or lack of it, had the power to affect their whole mood and outlook, and decided that I wanted to be a part of that recovery and rehabilitation process. Since massage compliments chiropractic care, working out of Southside Chiropractic clinic has been a great asset for both clients and patients. For over a decade I have had the tremendous honor of doing a job that I love and getting to work with my wonderful clients. For me, massage is my own small way to make an impact on the lives of others.

WHAT IS MY EXPERIENCE?

I graduated from Blue Cliff College of massage in 2006 and sat for my national and state board exams. I received my license in 2007 and immediately opened my practice. Other than my private practice I have worked with various salons, spas, physicians and other physical and massage therapists around Shreveport/Bossier to gain more knowledge and experience. I was a registered vendor with the Shreveport/Bossier Film Commission, I had the fun opportunity to work with several movies and television shows filmed locally. One of my favorite experiences was working with several members of the USA and Canadian weight lifting teams training for the 2008 Beijing Olympics and other national level competitions. From 2011-2017 I also taught massage therapy at Blue Cliff College and Career Technical College. I have donated my services to local charity organizations, been featured in local articles and won local business awards for my role in massage. I have spent the last few years selecting courses for my required continuing education hours that I felt would benefit my clients the most. I am specially certified in prenatal massage, TMJ massage, sports massage, deep tissue massage, reflexology, hot stone massage and more.
